Open for morning snacks, coffee and afternoon lunch, Tahoe House is worth a visit if you are looking for a snack or bakery item. The atmosphere is cozy, and there is plenty of room to just hang out, read, have a sandwich and enjoy a coffee. Our pick: Try a Jamaican Rum Ball; we rarely pass up an opportunity to stop for one. We love this place!

2.5 South of the Y at Tahoe City, West Shore's Black Bear is an excellent choice if you are looking for fine cuisine in romantic, rustic 'Old Tahoe' style in a warm atmosphere. The menu includes some exciting game meats and wines. So go on in, enjoy the fire, and soak up some West Shore charm.

A Pick!Chambers' Landing Restaurant
Chamber's Landing is open during summer only, with variable hours for the restaurant. The boat friendly location with a sandy, sunny beach is a happening stop for vessels on the lake. Chamber's Restaurant sits on a small hill with a view and offers dishes inspired by France, Italy, and the Middle East. Just a short stroll from the restaurant, Chamber's Bar sits at the end of a dock and can be counted on for a cocktail with an impressive Tahoe view. If you can, come by boat! If you are coming by car, Chamber's is hidden from the road; the entrance is a small access road near the Homewood area. Chamber's also has a nice sandy beach that is popular with boaters.
