The Pfeifer House is one of Tahoe's oldest restaurants, and is full of the flavors of Germany. While there, you may even be able to convince yourself you are in Europe. It is a perfect place to visit after your alpine adventures in North Tahoe, with selections of schnitzel, goulash, bratwurst, and beef. Full bar with good wine selections. You can find Pfeifer House just 1/4 mile North of the 'Y' in Tahoe City on HW 89. Closed Monday and Tuesday, and during some off-seasons. Reservations advised.
