D.L. Bliss State Park
This California State Park has a great beach, camping, hiking, and other nearby attractions such as Balancing Rock, Vikingsholm, and an Old Lighthouse. It's located 17 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89, a couple of miles north of Emerald Bay on the west shore of Tahoe. The water is clear, the beach is sandy, and hikes provide incredible views. If you plan to camp, reserve a campground in advance.
